COMBA TELECOM AGAIN TO DELIVER TURNKEY WIRELESS SOLUTIONS FOR BANGKOK UNDERGROUND
End-To-End Wireless Solutions to Provide Robust and High Throughput 4G LTE Networks for MRT Blue Line Extension Project
(13 Dec 2018, Hong Kong) Comba Telecom Systems Holdings Limited (“Comba Telecom” or “the Group,” SEHK stock code: 2342), a global leading solutions and services provider of wireless and information communications systems, today announced that the Group will work with Bangkok Expressway and Metro Public Company Limited (“BEM”) to deliver turnkey tunnel solutions for the underground in Bangkok again. The end-to-end solutions of Comba Telecom will provide 4G LTE networks for the MRT Chaloem Ratchamongkhon Line (“Blue Line”) extension, covering the 5.5km underground route and stations from the Hua Lamphong Station to the Itsarapap Station.
Underground is one of the main rapid transit systems in Bangkok. The system carries a huge number of commuters every day. It is expected the ridership of Blue Line will be over 270,000 passengers after the completion of the extension project in 20191. To meet the expected mobile communications demand, Comba Telecom will incorporate Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) technology in the solutions to build robust 4G LTE wireless networks with high throughput. Further to equipment supply, Comba Telecom will also deliver turnkey solution encompassing site survey, network design, installation, signal testing & optimization and project management.
